Use a large canvas to make the badge, don’t use a template that’s the actual badge size. The template we have included is the correct sized template. Remember the 25mm badge in particular is quite small., therefore complex patterns don’t work as well. If you want to use a lot of text use a bold and simple font. Try and ensure that the colours of your image and background do not clash. Download the 25mm Badge for Photoshop or JPEG (right click, save target as). A 25mm badge is made from a 35mm circle. This is due to the fact that although the face of the badge measures 25mm you need to make it larger to allow the paper to fold around the edges of the badge. Make sure that your image / logo are positioned within the 25mm circle. If the image / logo goes outside the 25mm circle you are going to loose some of your design as can be seen below.

The gap between the inner and outer circle will be visible, therefore if you choose to have a background colour make sure it goes to the edge of the 35mm circle. Although most of this area will be out of sight it will be visible from the sides and the back of the badge.

Make sure you remove the inner circle guide from the final image however leave the outer circle as it can be useful as a guide.
